Two-year position at SUNY Geneseo

Hello Everyone,
My old department SUNY Geneseo is looking for someone to teach a variety of Asian philosophy courses (see below). Geneseo is a nice small town near Rochester, NY, by the Finger Lakes. The deadline for application is this Friday, June 10th, though they will look at candidates’ files till June 14th. If you know someone who is qualified, please pass on the information right away.

The Departments of Philosophy and History seek a temporary (two-year) full-time Visiting Assistant Professor, or Lecturer, who can teach a combination of courses on global or non-western areas related to Philosophy and History. PhD in one of the two subjects preferred, with teaching competence in the other. ABD considered.The candidate should be prepared to teach courses in such areas as Asian Philosophy, World Religions, Non-Western History, Global History, Islamic Thought and Civilization. The candidate should also be prepared to teach an interdisciplinary course in Non-Western Humanities.
